Yes — Milemark is completely free. Searching the map, viewing campground details, saving favorites, and getting contact info for operators all cost nothing. We don’t handle bookings or take a cut.
How many campgrounds are listed?
We list thousands of campgrounds, RV parks, cabins and glamping sites across the United States and Canada, with details updated regularly by a mix of operator partners and our community.
How do I reserve a site?
Milemark doesn’t handle bookings — we focus on helping you find the right campground. Once you do, every listing includes the operator’s phone number, website and any reservation link they’ve published so you can contact them directly.
How do I list my campground?
Operators can claim or add a listing for free from the listing page. We confirm you run the campground before publishing, then you can keep your photos, amenities and contact information up to date so campers can reach you directly.
Where does Milemark’s campground data come from?
Milemark is community-reported: listings are built from open and public data and reports from campers, then enriched where we can. Details can change over time, so always confirm with the managing agency before you go.
What is a “backcountry” campground, and why do you show a warning?
Backcountry sites are remote, often dispersed or hike-in areas we can’t reliably verify. Because they’re largely community-reported, we can’t guarantee a given site still exists or is open — so we show a warning and recommend confirming with the land manager before planning your stay.
