This Privacy Policy explains how 0x Code Limited(“Milemark,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Milemark mobile app and the milemark.camp website (together, the “Service”).
Milemark is free to use. We don’t sell your personal information and we don’t show third-party advertising.
Information we collect
Account information
You can browse Milemark without an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider to create your account. (If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, Apple gives us a private relay address instead of your real one.) You may also add an optional display name and home base.
Content you create
When signed in, we store the campgrounds you save and the reviews you write so they sync across your devices.
Location
With your permission, the app uses your device’s location only while the app is opento center the map on you and help you find campgrounds nearby. We don’t access your location in the background, and your location isn’t stored on our servers. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
Technical data
Our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical logs (such as IP address, device/OS type, and request timestamps) so we can operate the Service securely and reliably.
How we use information
- To provide the Service — show campgrounds, sync your saved spots, and display reviews.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
How information is shared
- Service providers. We use third-party providers to host the app and database and to process sign-in. They handle data on our behalf under their own terms.
- Sign-in providers. Apple and Google process your sign-in under their respective privacy policies.
- Public content. Reviews you post may be visible to other users alongside your display name.
- Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and its users.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party data and maps
Campground information includes data from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License). Maps and directions are provided by Apple Maps and Google Maps; opening directions hands off to your device’s maps app, which is governed by that provider’s terms.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, email us at [email protected]and we’ll take care of it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
Milemark isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
International users
We’re based in Canada, and your information may be processed in Canada and other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above.
