About

Pierre Grey’s Lakes Provincial Park is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains northwest of Hinton. The park contains a beautiful chain of five lakes, two of which are stocked with rainbow trout and one with brook trout. The park is named for Pierre Gris (Grey), a Métis who ran a successful trading post during the late 1800s. There is a self-guided interpretive trail starting from the Norris Boat Launch, ending at the remains of the trading post along the lakeshore.
