Crater Lake Park protects a unique lake feature, steep-sided and deep, surrounded by basalt formations and fed by a canyon and waterfalls. The lake has a resident population of rainbow trout and freshwater clams. Recreation use is focused on wildlife viewing, scenic appreciation, fishing, picnicking, and hiking.
