About

Birkenhead Lake Park was established in 1963 to provide lakeside camping and recreation experiences. Expanded over time, it now protects significant conservation values of the Sockeye Creek watershed, including old growth forests and alpine environments. The park is a diverse habitat for wildlife such as spotted owls, mountain goats, black bears, and grizzly bears.
